Philippine Canoe and Kayak Federation

The Philippine Canoe and Kayak Federation (PCKF) is a regular member of the Philippine Olympic Committee (POC-NOC) and recognized by the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC). It is the national governing body and the sole National Sports Association (NSA) in the Philippines with the exclusive authority in developing “forward-moving” paddling sports in the country. 

This recognition is under Section 13 of Republic Act 6847.

SEC. 13. National Sports Associations. — National sports associations, organized for their respective sports in the Philippines and/or affiliated with their respective international federations which are recognized by the International Olympic Committee, are recognized as such by the Commission.”

Leonora “Len” Escollante is the current President of PCKF.

PCKF aims to:

  1. Further the ideals of Olympism by exalting and combining in balanced whole the qualities of body, mind, and will;
  2. Blend paddling sports with environmental protection, eco-tourism, culture, and education; 
  3. Create a way of life based on the joy of passionate effort, the educational value of good example, and respect for universal fundamental ethical principles.
